Dr. Maame Adwoa Gyekye-Jandoh

Dr. Maame Adwoa Gyekye-Jandoh is a distinguished political scientist, academic, and governance expert with extensive experience in higher education, public policy, democracy, and gender studies. She is a Senior Lecturer and former Head of the Department of Political Science at the University of Ghana, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in governance, comparative politics, and African politics.

Her research and professional work focus on democratic governance, civil society, gender and politics, migration, and public policy in Africa. She has collaborated with numerous national and international institutions, including the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation, STAR-Ghana Foundation, the Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy, and the Institute of Economic Affairs (Ghana), contributing to policy development, governance reforms, and democratic strengthening.

Dr. Gyekye-Jandoh has served on several national and institutional boards, including the Advisory Board of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the Governing Council of the University of Cape Coast, and the Governing Board of the State Housing Company Limited. She is also a widely published scholar whose work has appeared in leading academic journals and international publications.
